If you are pregnant and have acne problem, your skin might glow but some do not have this property. In pregnancy, their skin becomes dull due to the hormones called androgens. These hormones may harm your pregnancy or may make it fruitful. Androgens cause sebaceous glands to produce more oil, which further blocks the pores of the skin and do not let it to breathe. Due to the bacteria’s formation, acne appears which makes your skin look dull and dry.

Acne does not have any cure to it but it can be controlled with certain factors like cleaning your face with a mild soap or oil free cleanser twice a day. If you want to do makeup, go for the nonacnegenic makeup that does not clog the pores of the skin.

The most important thing to remember is that if you are pregnant and taking or already started the acne treatment, you should consult the doctor whether the acne treatment will be useful for you or it will have an adverse effect on the baby.
